## Cloud Network Automation Engineer ### Responsibilities - Provision, manage, and support **Palo Alto Firewalls** and **Panorama** servers across multiple **internet-connected** and **internet-disconnected** networks and **Cloud Service Providers** - Develop, utilize, and maintain **Ansible Playbooks** to secure, patch, and configure Palo Alto appliances - Manage and configure connected services such as **network adapters**, **storage**, and **firewalls** - Deploy, configure, and support **monitoring** capabilities to detect anomalous conditions or service disruptions - Investigate service disruptions, provide **root cause analysis** reports, and implement steps to prevent recurrence **Work Location/Schedule:** Full-time, **onsite Monday–Friday** in the **Baltimore metropolitan area** ### Qualifications **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree with **8+ years** of experience; **OR** Master’s degree with **6+ years**; **OR** PhD with **3+ years** - Degree in (highly desired): **IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science,** or **Software Engineering** - In lieu of a degree, **additional 4 years** of relevant experience may be considered - **Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility** - **Active CompTIA Security+** - Strong **oral and written communication** skills **Required Technical Qualifications** - Expertise with **Configuration as Code (CaC)** tooling (Ansible preferred) - Expertise managing **Palo Alto firewalls** in **disconnected environments** - Expertise with network requirements and configuration of **regulated environments**, preferably within **Department of War** agencies **Preferred Technical Qualifications** - Experience with **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** tooling (Terraform preferred) - Experience with secure computing environments aligned to **DISA STIGs** and **NIST 800-53** - Experience monitoring uptime/performance using tools such as **Splunk, Grafana,** and **SolarWinds** - Experience producing detailed technical **after-action reports** with root cause analysis after outages or security incidents - Familiarity with **host-level networking** (e.g., instance firewalls) - Familiarity with source code management tools such as **GitHub** or **GitLab** ### Salary Range - **$135,000 – $216,000** (typical range; final offer depends on experience, education, skills, and location) ### Equal Opportunity - Equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans, or other characteristics protected by law.
