You’ll use modern web technologies and methodologies to create an outstanding commerce platform and a customer experience designed to delight. This is a **hybrid** role with a flexible work-from-home policy. In-person meetings may be required occasionally. You can work in the office as much or as little as you prefer, and the team hosts social and bonding events on campus. **The Team** You’ll join a team focused on building client application experiences for PlayStation consoles, websites, mobile applications, and beyond—serving millions of users worldwide. --- ## Responsibilities - Develop, test, and document business-critical features and applications - Partner with Product Owners and Product Managers to understand requirements and craft solutions for the PlayStation ecosystem - Champion quality and improve processes; propose standard methodologies and drive adoption - Build JavaScript-based applications for PlayStation gaming consoles, web, mobile, and future Sony devices/services - Create digital commerce solutions for games, media content, subscription services, and more - Write robust unit and component tests to ensure reliability and prevent regressions - Work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment - Work independently and collaborate with internal and external engineers - Review and provide feedback on pull requests and design plans - Define and refine technical approaches supporting performance, accessibility, and scalability - Deploy platform experiences through CI/CD pipelines - Monitor releases, analyze telemetry, and adapt based on production data - Continuously learn and experiment; participate in Hackathons and Café Days ## Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) **or** 5+ years of relevant work experience - 5+ years building product experiences with strong UI technology proficiency - Passion for robust, sustainable, high-quality code - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Ability to produce detailed design and development documentation ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience with HTML, CSS, the JavaScript ecosystem; familiarity with React, Angular, Jest, and TypeScript - Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot (bonus) - Familiarity with GraphQL, REST APIs, and containerization tools like Docker - Understanding of build pipelines and CI/CD standards across multiple platforms - Experience with performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design - Curiosity about AI-assisted development tools or automation that improves developer efficiency --- ## Pay & Benefits (Transparency) - **Estimated hourly base pay range:** **$85.20 — $127.82 USD** - Benefits may include **medical, dental, and vision**. --- **Additional Notes** - Background checks are conducted at the offer stage for new employees (may include criminal background checks for some ro
