## Technical Integrator — Entry Level (NRO) **Location:** Chantilly, VA (Telework not available) **Type:** Full-time | **Level:** GG-07 to GG-11 (Entry Level) **Travel:** Substantial travel required (embedded rotations ~2–3 months per rotation; minimum ~4 months/year away from duty location) --- ## About the NRO For sixty years, the NRO has developed, acquired, launched, and operated satellites that support America’s advantage in space. The NRO collects and delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) content. --- ## Basic Eligibility - U.S. Citizen - Ability to obtain and maintain a **TS/SCI** security clearance - Subject to pre-employment and periodic **drug testing** - Subject to pre-employment and periodic **polygraph examinations** --- ## Role Overview The **Technical Integrator** serves as the primary link between the government prototyping team (**Cosmic Horizon**) and operational end users. You will deploy to customer locations to embed with mission users, understand operational workflows, and deliver **workflow automation** and **AI integration** solutions. --- ## What You’ll Do - Deploy to domestic and international customer sites and work directly with operational users and field representatives - Act as the primary technical integrator between Cosmic Horizon and operational end users - Conduct user-needs assessments (workflows, pain points, data sources, constraints, desired outcomes) - Translate user challenges into technical requirements, user stories, development priorities, and integration plans - Provide hands-on support: software development, scripting/coding, data-pipeline development, application integration, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation - Support design, development, prototyping, deployment, and sustainment of workflow-automation and AI-enabled capabilities - Integrate prototypes with approved mission systems and data sources in accordance with security/data-handling requirements - Evaluate prototype performance with operational users; collect feedback; identify defects/usability issues/risks; recommend improvements - Coordinate across developers, data scientists, engineers, mission users, stakeholders, and field representatives - Communicate technical status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders - Support Agile planning, backlog refinement, demos, iterative development, and transition of successful prototypes --- ## Required Qualifications - Demonstrated knowledge of coding and software-development practices to support development, integration, testing, or troubleshooting - Ability to gather and document user needs and translate them into technical requirements (under supervision or with limited guidance) - Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods to support operational users - Experience applying software-development, data-engineering, systems-integration, or technical-analysis skills to solve user/mission problems --- ## Desired Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, software engineering, data science, information systems, engineering, or related field - Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban), user stories, backlog management, sprint planning, iterative delivery - Experience with DevSecOps (secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, configuration management, release processes) - Ability to lead technical workstreams and contribute hands-on (coding, integration, data pipelines, tes
