## Cloud Software Engineer Level 2 — AI/ML (TS/SCI w/Poly) ### Location - Laurel, MD ### Overview Peraton is seeking a **Cloud Software Engineer (Level 2)** to join our **Cyber Intelligence** team. You’ll work on **next-generation cyber and AI/ML capabilities** hosted on **large-scale compute clusters** and **AWS Cloud infrastructure** within a collaborative, mission-driven environment. ### Responsibilities - Perform **cloud software research, development, and engineering** services - Support **requirements analysis**, **software development**, **installation**, **integration**, **evaluation**, **enhancement**, **sustainment**, **testing**, **validation**, and **issue diagnosis/resolution** - Help develop innovative services that support national security missions ### Key Technologies & Skills - **AWS Cloud**: Architecture, SDKs, APIs, and cloud services integration - **AI/ML**: Familiarity with **LLMs** and **RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)** frameworks - **IaC & DevOps**: Hands-on with **CloudFormation** or **Terraform**, plus modern **CI/CD** pipelines - **Programming**: Strong **Java** skills for distributed systems; networking, multi-threading, and concurrency - **Containers & Orchestration**: **Kubernetes** and microservices architecture - **Security**: Cloud security principles and compliance best practices - **Scripting & Systems**: Linux environment experience; scripting in **Python, Ruby, Perl**, or similar ### Qualifications (Summary) - Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) - **Minimum 8 years** software development/engineering experience (requirements through diagnosis/resolution) - **8+ years** directly related experience in software development/engineering - **Minimum 6 years** developing software with high-level languages (e.g., **Java, C, C++**) - Experience with open-source distributed computation technologies (e.g., **HBase, Accumulo, BigTable**) - Experience with **MapReduce** and tools such as **Hadoop, Hive, Pig** - Experience with **HDFS** - Experience with serialization (e.g., **JSON** and/or **BSON**) - Experience developing **RESTful services** - **At least 5 years** developing software for **UNIX/Linux** (RedHat 3–5) - Experience in requirements analysis and design of at least one **object-oriented system** > Note: The provided description appears truncated at the end; additional requirements may apply.
