With thousands of customers (including Granola, Fireflies, Figure AI, and CallRail), we process **2M+ hours of audio daily** and handle **1M+ API calls every day**. **About the role** We’re looking for a **Senior Design Engineer** to own the craft and feel of AssemblyAI’s product experience end to end. You’ll design and build the interfaces developers use—from the **Playground** to the **dashboard**—and set the bar for how everything looks, moves, and feels (not just whether it works). You should have: - A strong design background **plus** real frontend engineering ability - Deep interest in what exceptional product design looks like in an **AI-native, developer-facing** product - A design-led approach where engineering brings the vision to life - Attention to details others may skip: interaction states, motion, hierarchy, information density, and the difference between a UI that works vs. one that feels right This is a cross-functional role requiring close partnership with **engineering, marketing, and sales**, and the judgment to move from rough ideas to polished, shipped experiences without waiting for a spec. **Equal Opportunity** AssemblyAI is committed to equal opportunity.
