## Software Deployment Engineer (I/II) ### About KPI Solutions KPI Solutions is a national supply chain consulting and warehouse automation systems integrator. Our work blends automated technologies (MHE, robotics, conveyor, ASRS, AMR/AGV) with intelligent warehouse execution software. ### Position Summary The **Software Deployment Engineer I/II** is an individual-contributor role responsible for the **end-to-end delivery, configuration, installation, and support** of **Kommand** warehouse execution/control systems and related material handling hardware (including **pick-to-light, overhead illuminators, AutoStore, and T-sort integrations**). This role owns **project-level configuration, commissioning, installation, upgrades, and live troubleshooting** with minimal oversight across both **on-site** and **remote/office** phases. ### Key Responsibilities #### On-Site Delivery - Lead **software commissioning** of Kommand and peripheral hardware systems at customer sites. - Own full-scope installation of **pick-to-light** systems (wiring, physical installation, configuration, functional testing). - Own full-scope installation of **overhead illuminator** systems. - Conduct **IQ (Installation Qualification)** and **UAT (User Acceptance Testing)**, including test documentation and **customer sign-off**. - Serve as the **sole owner** for Kommand and system-level troubleshooting for live, in-production issues during on-site engagements. #### Remote / Office Delivery - Independently deliver **new Kommand installations** (application pre-configuration, database scripting, and pre-deployment testing). - Independently deliver **Kommand version upgrades**, including: - SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools) schema comparisons - version control - local pre-install testing - direct customer coordination - Execute production upgrades **after standard business hours** to minimize downtime. - Perform **DEV/QA/Sandbox** work during standard business hours. - Validate, diagnose, and remediate defects; route confirmed fixes to **QA** prior to merge/deployment. - Participate in an **on-call rotation** covering Kommand, AutoStore, and T-sort escalations. - Provide post-go-live support as needed (e.g., system migrations, integration testing with ERP/WMS such as **SAP**, and multi-site rollout support). #### Project Configuration & Deployment - Gather required Kommand configurations and system parameters. - Translate the **BRD** and customer conversations into Kommand system settings (settings spreadsheet, network spreadsheet, and system parameters). - Educate clients on host interface usage (not required for all projects; depends on whether integration involves interface changes). - Configure client Kommand sandbox environments for project-specific testing and support through testing. - Configure the Kommand production environment ahead of go-live. - Assist with training on new features requiring customer/internal education. ### Scope & Independence This role currently operates as the **sole owner** of critical workstreams, including: - all new Kommand installations - all Kommand upgrade delivery - all live Kommand/system troubleshooting The position requires strong judgment and technical depth to manage customer-facing delivery, testing, and sign-off without a dedicated suppo
