Our systems are low latency, high throughput, live under constant load, and break if you get them wrong. ### What you’ll do - Lead by example through high-impact code contributions across critical areas of the mobile stack - Own the most complex technical initiatives, from architecture design to production deployment - Set technical direction for mobile architecture while remaining deeply involved in implementation - Establish and evolve patterns for performance, reliability, and security in a crypto-native environment - Optimize for speed, efficiency, and scalability—bridging blockchain interactions with mobile-first design - Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs, real-time data streams, and decentralized technologies - Iterate quickly: ship features, gather feedback, and refine the mobile experience to drive engagement and retention - Solve complex technical challenges related to crypto wallets, smart contract interactions, and real-time data updates - Maintain a clean, modular, and scalable codebase while pushing the boundaries of mobile development - Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product leaders to shape the future of our mobile platform ### Who you are - 8–12+ years of engineering experience, with deep expertise in React Native and mobile architecture - Proven track record of owning and shipping large, technically complex systems end-to-end - Comfortable operating as the technical anchor for a product area while staying hands-on - Strong architectural instincts with pragmatic execution - Able to influence technical direction through clarity of thinking and strong implementation - Experienced in high-growth environments where systems evolve under rapid scale - Naturally raises the bar for code quality, performance, and engineering standards ### What it’s like to work here - We work in person - Hours can be long and unconventional - The pace is intense - Expectations are high, and impact is immediate - Working at Baton is not for everyone ### Why join us? - Unmatched ownership and autonomy - Exposure to systems operating at the edge of crypto scale - The ability to ship fast and see real-world impact immediately If you’re motivated by responsibility, speed, and building products used by massive audiences, you’ll feel at home here.
