If you’re excited about early-stage building, designing better ways to work, and fixing what’s broken in healthcare—we’d love to connect. --- ## About the Role We’re looking for a standout **Senior Full-Stack Engineer** to help build AI-powered software used every day by clinic staff and administrators. You’ll work across the stack, use scalable design patterns and best practices, and create delightful, user-friendly experiences in a technically complex space with real human impact. You’ll spend most of your time building—while also reviewing other engineers’ designs and code to help raise and maintain team standards. --- ## What You’ll Do - **Design, build, and maintain** scalable, high-quality features across the stack (React/TypeScript frontend, Java/Spring Boot backend, and Python for AI/ML services). - **Collaborate with the CTO** on key architectural decisions and help define/maintain architectural standards for long-term robustness and scalability. - **Review PRs and design proposals** to keep the codebase coherent as the team grows. - **Mentor engineers** (junior and mid-level): review designs before implementation, pair on hard problems, and provide feedback that changes how they work. - **Improve cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines** to enable fast, reliable development and releases. - **Partner with product and design** to translate complex healthcare workflows into simple, intuitive, delightful experiences. - **Champion software quality** with testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E) and team-wide best practices. - **Write clear documentation** for code, architecture, and processes. - **Contribute to product and UX thinking**—shaping what gets built, not just how. --- ## What We’re Looking For - **7+ years** shipping production-grade full-stack web applications (or **10+ years** for staff-level candidates) with a track record of technical leadership. - Experience **mentoring engineers** and reviewing design work, with examples of feedback that changed outcomes. - **Essential:** hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining **LLM-based agentic applications** in production. - Deep backend expertise with **Java** and **Spring Boot**. - Strong frontend skills with **React** and **TypeScript**. - Experience building and maintaining **CI/CD pipelines** and deploying to modern cloud environments. --- ## Why Join Basata? - **Drive real impact:** help clinics run more smoothly and get patients care faster. - **Shape something meaningful:** influence both systems and user experience. - **High ownership:** lead, build, and bring ideas to life. - **Work with purpose:** solve real healthcare problems with tools people rely on every day. --- ## Our Core Values - **Find a way:** Own outcomes—no excuses, no shortcuts. - **Dream big:** Healthcare doesn’t have to be broken. - **Obsess over the customer:** Empathy first—without compromising ethics, privacy, or trust. - **Always be learning:** Growth for yourself and others. - **Move fast, deliver excellence:** Speed with precisi
