## Overview Allocate is transforming private market investing by enabling RIAs and family offices to discover, model, and manage their private market exposure. Our platform combines curated fund and co-investment opportunities with institutional-grade infrastructure across venture capital, private equity, private credit, and other private asset classes—supported by tracking, analytics, and administration tools. We’re seeking a **dedicated IT Specialist** to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll manage system upgrades, resolve user queries, and optimize our technology infrastructure to align with business goals—while safeguarding our digital assets. ## About the Role This is a **generalist IT** role with meaningful depth across three core areas: - **Day-to-day troubleshooting & end-user support** - **Systems & infrastructure management** (SaaS, IdP, MDM) - **Security-adjacent operations** supporting our **SOC 2** compliance posture You’ll be the primary internal IT point of contact for an **in-office and remote workforce of 80+ employees**, coordinating execution with our **managed service partner (MSP)**. Security is an operating standard applied to every IT task (provisioning, asset management, vendor coordination). ## Essential Responsibilities ### End-User Support (Tier 1/2) - Provide Tier 1/2 support across hardware, software, and SaaS applications - Assist MSP with new user device, account, and software/application provisioning - Respond to employee support tickets - Troubleshoot connectivity, access, and productivity tool issues (Google Workspace, Slack, core SaaS tools) - Run guidance sessions on IT tools, security practices, and system usage - Maintain internal IT documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles ### Systems & Infrastructure - Support onboarding/offboarding and management of user accounts, permissions, and access controls - Support provisioning/deprovisioning across SaaS applications - Install, update, and maintain software applications while ensuring compatibility and data security - Optimize resources to maximize license value and reduce operational costs - Coordinate with vendors for device purchases, warranties, and external support services - Maintain and improve IT asset inventory and hardware tracking processes - Coordinate with the MSP on escalations, infrastructure tasks, and project execution ### Security Operations & Compliance (SOC 2 Support) - Assist the Information Security program with access reviews documentation, MFA enforcement, and endpoint compliance checks - Help maintain evidence for **SOC 2 Type II** (Security, Availability, Confidentiality) - Analyze logs to improve performance and proactively identify risks - Monitor and respond to alerts from endpoint management and security tooling - Support security initiatives as directed by Information Security - Help enforce IT/security policies and contribute to policy documentation as needed ## Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field **or** equivalent practical experience - **3–5 years** experience as an IT Specialist/IT Administrator or in technical support/system analysis/network administration - Proficiency with **macOS, iOS, Windows** and common network technologies - Hands-on experience administering **Google Workspace** (user management, Groups, directory, OAuth app controls, hardening) - Familiarity with SaaS access management and SSO concepts (**SAML, SCIM, OAuth**) -
