**Software Development Manager I** *Raleigh, NC* **Responsibilities:** • Own availability and performance of distributed, multi-service systems deployed in AWS (Java/Spring REST APIs) • Provide technical leadership and mentorship through weekly 1:1s and actionable feedback • Design, document, and review product features and APIs in collaboration with team and product owner • Support high-quality software development focusing on scalability, fault tolerance, and observability • Maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines and lead productive code reviews • Break down product features into manageable stories for team distribution • Balance people leadership, technical leadership, and hands-on code writing • Drive sprint planning and execution while removing roadblocks and maintaining accountability • Collaborate with product owner on prioritization, feature sizing, and technical progress reporting **Required:** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field • 7+ years software development experience **Must Have:** • 2+ years leading a developer team (manager or technical lead role) • HTTP network protocol experience • Distributed systems design and microservices debugging experience • AWS development experience • SQL and relational database systems (RDS) experience • Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) • CI/CD pipeline experience • SDLC and Agile methodologies experience • Enterprise Change and Release Management processes experience **Apply:** www.bandwidth.com/careers/openings/ | Reference "Software Development Manager I"
