**Data Engineer** **About Baseten** Baseten powers mission-critical inference for leading AI companies like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. We recently raised our $1.5B Series F led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. **The Role** Build and scale Baseten's internal data platform at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and data science. Transform raw product and business data into reliable datasets that power decision-making across the organization. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and maintain core data models and semantic layers • Develop and orchestrate batch and streaming data pipelines (Apache Beam, Kafka, Airflow, etc.) • Analyze inference and infrastructure telemetry from observability tools • Define and maintain company-wide metrics across product usage and performance • Enable self-service analytics through well-structured semantic layers • Ensure data reliability through testing, documentation, and governance **Preferred Qualifications** • Understanding of inference metrics (latency, throughput, token usage, model performance) • Experience with B2B SaaS and/or consumption-based platforms • Forecasting and predictive modeling experience (ARIMA, Prophet, etc.) **Benefits** • Competitive compensation with meaningful equity • 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage (U.S.) • Flexible PTO + company-wide Winter Break • Paid parental leave • Fertility and family-building stipend • 401(k) facilitation (U.S.) Baseten is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
