**Cloud Platform Engineer** **About Baseten** Baseten powers mission-critical inference for leading AI companies like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. We recently raised our $1.5B Series F and are building the platform engineers use to ship AI products. **The Role** Build robust systems and processes ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and efficient. Work on deployment automation, monitoring systems, performance optimization, and incident management while collaborating closely with users. **Key Initiatives** • Multi-cloud capacity management • Inference on B200 GPUs • Multi-node inference • Fractional H100 GPUs for efficient model serving **Responsibilities** • Build and maintain scalable infrastructure for ML model deployment • Establish reliability and performance standards • Automate CI/CD pipelines and relevant processes • Own projects end-to-end with user empathy focus • Collaborate across teams on technical solutions • Mentor junior team members • Exercise good judgment on technical tradeoffs **Requirements** • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field • Extensive Kubernetes experience • Scalable infrastructure building and maintenance experience • Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) • CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Circle CI, Jenkins) • OSS observability experience (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) is a plus • End-to-end project ownership capability • No ML experience required; openness to learning is key **Benefits** • Competitive compensation with meaningful equity • 100% medical, dental, vision coverage (U.S.) • Flexible PTO + company Winter Break • Paid parental leave • Fertility and family-building stipend • 401(k) facilitation (U.S.) • Exposure to diverse ML startup ecosystem **Equal Opportunity Employer** — We welcome qualified applicants from all backgrounds.
