**Supply Chain Tooling Engineer** **About Base** Base is America's next-generation power company rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization—electricity—by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that transforms today's fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. **About The Role** We're seeking a versatile software engineer to build and scale internal tools and data infrastructure powering Base's supply chain operations. You'll own platforms that make our supply chain intelligent, automated, and resilient—spanning supplier management, domestic content compliance, and production readiness systems. Working directly with planners, procurement, and operations leadership, you'll eliminate bottlenecks and ship software that helps Base move faster. **What You'll Do** • Contribute to internally built TMS, WMS, and MRP systems—wiring data pipelines, integrations, and models • Build and own a supply chain control tower with multi-tier supplier visibility and real-time dashboards • Build procurement tooling for supplier performance tracking, RFQ/RFP automation, and contract management • Develop tax credit compliance systems for 48E domestic content and 45X FEOC verification • Own data pipelines from ERP, supplier portals, customs, and shipping systems with automated alerts • Calculate and surface financial exposure for WIP inventory and tax credit risk • Work directly with planners and ops managers to scope MVPs and iterate on feedback • Identify and build tools to replace manual supply chain workflows **What You'll Bring** • 2+ years building production software (web apps, internal tools, or data platforms) • Solid experience with data pipelines, API integrations, and real-world data • Comfort with AWS or GCP, modern deployment practices, and observability tooling • *Preferred:* ERP/WMS/MES experience, ops platform work at high-growth startups, or AI/ML experience in forecasting and anomaly detection **Our Values** First Principles Thinking • Operate at Base Pace • Give & Get Feedback • Everyone's an Owner • Strong Opinions, Loosely Held • Committed to the Mission • Fun & Optimism with Grit *Base is a startup where priorities shift quickly.
