**Global Capacity Manager** **About Baseten** Baseten powers mission-critical inference for leading AI companies like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. We recently raised our $1.5B Series F and are building the platform engineers use to ship AI products. **The Role** Lead the "engine room" of Baseten, architecting and optimizing the global GPU fleet powering customer AI workloads. Own end-to-end capacity management from securing multi-million dollar GPU clusters to building automation ensuring 99.9% uptime across multi-cloud environments. This is a hands-on engineering role bridging high-finance asset management and deep infrastructure engineering. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead specialized GPU pods (H100, B200) managing full lifecycle acquisition and maintenance • Execute complex workload migrations and deployment scheduling across regions • Design next-generation capacity management systems for 10x GPU volume growth • Build financial ROI models for GPU spend and unit economics • Partner with SRE, Infra, and FDE teams on infrastructure optimization • Lead incident response during capacity-crunch scenarios **Requirements** • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field • 5+ years in high-growth environments (hyperscalers or GPU providers preferred) • Deep Kubernetes expertise (taints, cordons, node draining, custom operators) • Production-level Go or Python experience • Strong financial literacy and cost-reliability trade-off modeling • High tenacity and collaborative mindset **Benefits** • Competitive compensation with meaningful equity • 100% medical, dental, vision coverage (U.S.) • Flexible PTO + company Winter Break • Paid parental leave & fertility stipend • 401(k) facilitation (U.S.) • Exposure to diverse ML startup ecosystem *Equal Opportunity Employer*
