**Senior Software Engineer, Frontend** **About Base** America's next-generation power company rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization through distributed battery networks that transform today's fragile grid into a resilient system. **The Role** Lead frontend development of the customer experience across Base web and mobile applications. You'll set architecture and technical direction, own major product surfaces end-to-end, and mentor engineers across the organization. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead frontend development across web and mobile platforms • Set frontend architecture and technical strategy across the organization • Own major product surfaces from concept through production • Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs and data models • Partner with product and design to shape the roadmap • Establish engineering standards and improve developer experience • Mentor engineers and raise the bar for frontend craft • Use analytics and experimentation to improve user experience **What You'll Bring** • 7+ years building production frontend or full-stack software • Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Next.js) • Strong experience designing frontend architecture for complex applications • Track record of owning products from concept through launch • Ability to translate complex systems into simple user experiences • Experience with product analytics and experimentation • Mentoring experience and ability to influence technical direction • First principles thinking and bias toward shipping **About the Team** Owns the entire stack from firmware controlling home batteries to trading algorithms and factory software.
