**Solutions Architect** **About Baseten** Baseten powers mission-critical inference for leading AI companies like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. We recently raised our $1.5B Series F and are building the platform engineers use to ship AI products. **The Role** Partner with Sales and customers to translate business needs into technical solutions, run technical discovery, and guide repeatable deployments and proofs of value. **Key Responsibilities** • Partner with Sales on customer discovery and technical scoping calls • Lead demos and align on success criteria, architecture, and deployment approach • Own benchmarking and repeatable deployments across LLMs, embeddings, image/video generation, Voice AI, etc. • Advise on infrastructure tradeoffs (H100s vs B200s, latency vs throughput optimization) • Drive consistent deployment playbooks for common models and use cases • Become a power user of runtimes: vLLM, SGLang, TRT-LLM • Drive POC execution and act as project manager • Coordinate with Forward Deployed Engineering for complex technical work **Requirements** • AI/ML background with ability to discuss technical topics credibly • Strong customer-facing communication and discovery skills • Technical depth to scope solutions (production coding not required) • Ability to script and prototype as needed **Nice to Have** • ML inference benchmarking experience • Infrastructure knowledge (GPU selection, latency/throughput tuning) • Cross-functional technical leadership experience **Benefits** • Competitive compensation with meaningful equity • 100% medical, dental, vision coverage (U.S.) • Flexible PTO + company Winter Break • Paid parental leave & family-building stipend • 401(k) facilitation (U.S.) • Exposure to diverse ML startups and networking *Equal Opportunity Employer*
