**Head of Cloud Infrastructure** **About YipitData:** Leading market research and analytics firm for the disruptive economy. Recognized as one of Inc's Best Workplaces for three consecutive years. **About The Role:** Director-level position leading modernization and scaling of shared infrastructure powering YipitData's data-intensive products. Report to Chief Architect. Own cloud platform, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and developer experience across AWS environment built with Kubernetes and Terraform. Player-coach leadership role combining strategy, architectural decisions, technical credibility, and global team leadership. **Remote-friendly** (US-based, can be NYC headquarters or anywhere in US with potential NY tax withholding). US working hours required. No travel. **Key Responsibilities:** • Set and execute cloud-infrastructure modernization roadmap • Lead small, high-leverage global team (cloud platform, SRE, DevOps) • Improve developer velocity and platform experience • Establish formal reliability practices (SLIs, SLOs, incident management) • Own disaster-recovery strategy and readiness • Design sustainable 24/7 operational model • Partner with Chief Architect and engineering leaders • Measure progress across delivery, experience, adoption, reliability, and cloud economics • Improve cloud efficiency and deliver measurable savings **Requirements:** • 6+ years infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, or developer productivity experience • Hands-on expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform • Led 3-10 infrastructure/platform/SRE/DevOps engineers • Built or transformed platform function; operated business-critical production infrastructure • Experience scaling data-intensive SaaS or analytics organizations • Owned formal reliability practices and designed on-call models • Improved developer velocity through self-service capabilities • Delivered measurable cloud-cost improvements • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience **Compensation:** • Base salary: $200K-$250K + bonus • Equity included • Flexible work hours and vacation • 401K match, parental leave, wellness budget, learning reimbursement • Team events and comprehensive benefits
