About this role

## About Baseten Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world’s most dynamic AI companies (e.g., Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, Writer). By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we help frontier AI companies bring cutting-edge models into production. We’re growing quickly and recently raised our **$1.5B Series F** (led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, Spark Capital). Join us to help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products. --- ## The Role (GTM Engineer) Baseten’s GTM org is in hyper growth. As it scales, the GTM stack needs to evolve—this team exists to stay ahead of those needs. You’ll build and maintain the connective tissue across Baseten’s GTM tools, processes, and field user experience. The GTM tooling landscape is changing fast, and the winners are the teams that adapt and iterate quickly. You’ll design, build, and ship **AI-powered workflows** that make GTM functions a competitive advantage—starting by auditing what exists, identifying gaps, and shipping fast. --- ## Responsibilities - **Ship AI-powered workflows for the field**: build agents and automations that give reps and managers real leverage by off-loading manual/repetitive work. - **Get insights in front of reps**: turn Salesforce, warehouse, and usage data into dashboards, scores, and alerts reps actually act on. - **Audit the stack & generate your own backlog**: identify overlap, gaps, and what’s broken—then prioritize without waiting for a roadmap. - **Ship rep-productivity workflows fast**: triage field asks, find quick wins, and deliver (e.g., VP Sales asks Monday → live by Wednesday). - **Know when to go custom**: use low-code when appropriate, but spin up bespoke AI-powered solutions in Claude Code when judgment says it’s needed. - **Think in systems**: design workflows with upstream/downstream implications and avoid creating technical debt. - **Integrate third-party APIs**: sync events and information reliably across disparate systems. - **Document what you build**: if people can’t find it, understand it, or trust it, it doesn’t matter how well it works. --- ## Requirements - **3+ years** experience in GTM Engineering, workflow automation, or a technical RevOps role (ideally at a high-growth, AI-native B2B company) - **Production agent shipping on Vercel**: build custom internal GTM apps and agents with durable workflows and sandboxed execution (not one-off scripts) - **Fluency with AI coding assistants/agent tooling** (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar) with real production usage - **Hands-on Clay experience** as a primary enrichment/workflow tool (you’ve pushed it to its limits) - **Direct Salesforce experience**: understand the data model, have built on it, and can own CRM-level changes - **Track record owning end-to-end AI/automation workflows** - **Integration/automation platforms** (n8n, Zapier, Make, Workato, or similar) + fundamental APIs/webhooks understanding - **Strong build judgment**: know when low-code is enough vs. when it becomes a bottleneck --- ## Nice to Have - Familiarity with enrichment/data-provider ecosystems beyond Clay - Experience building reporting/alerting on a data warehouse (BigQuery, Databricks) and BI layer (Sigma, Hex) - Experience with agent platforms/frameworks (Gumloop, n8n, Notion Agents, Vercel AI SDK, Claude Agent SDK, Mastra, etc.) - Experience with highly technical software sales cycles and complex GTM mo
