**Finance & Analytics** **ABOUT BASE** Base is America's next-generation power company rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization—electricity—by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that transforms today's fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. **ABOUT THE ROLE** Build the data platform that finance runs on. Own the finance data warehouse end-to-end: pipelines that replicate data, the modeled layer that ensures correctness, and interfaces (Excel, BI, AI agents) that enable self-service analytics. **WHAT YOU'LL DO** • Build and own the finance data warehouse with pipelines from ERP, asset register, budgets, actuals, and forecasts • Design the GL reporting cube with business-friendly dimensions, hierarchies, and pre-calculated measures • Implement tested, validated logic with reconciliation checks so accounting trusts every number • Partner with accounting on the dimensional backbone and encode it once for all reports • Serve consolidation and budget-vs-actuals analysis with drilldown capabilities • Build interfaces for Excel-native reporting, BI dashboards, and agent-readable access • Extend the platform as finance scales (forecasts, asset management, tax equity reporting) **WHAT YOU'LL BRING** • 3-7 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI development with at least one financial reporting platform in production • Expert SQL and dimensional modeling (facts, dimensions, hierarchies) with reliable ERP data pipeline fundamentals • Working accounting fluency: chart of accounts, debits/credits, close calendars • Auditor's instinct for correctness and reconciliation • Founding-hire ownership mentality • Fluency working alongside AI as first-class data consumers • Plain-English communication with finance stakeholders **OUR VALUES** First Principles Thinking • Operate at Base Pace • Give & Get Feedback • Everyone's an Owner • Strong Opinions, Loosely Held • Committed to the Mission • Fun & Optimism with Grit **Note:** Base is a startup where priorities shift quickly.
