About this role

**Meet the Team** Join Torc's System Integration & Enablement team, where we build the tools, test infrastructure, automation frameworks, and integration environments that enable Torc's autonomous driving platform to operate reliably at scale. Our team works at the intersection of hardware, embedded software, platform software, systems engineering, validation, and autonomy integration. We partner closely with teams across Compute Platform and the broader autonomy organization to improve the efficiency, repeatability, and quality of platform integration activities. Through Hardware-in-the-Loop systems, on-truck development, automation frameworks, validation infrastructure, and integration tooling, we ensure software developed across Torc can be successfully integrated, tested, and deployed on its intended hardware platforms. We are looking for a **Senior Systems Integration Engineer** to lead on-truck platform bring-up and integration. You will be the engineer others turn to when a new compute platform, sensor, or software release needs to work on a real truck, and you will shape how the team approaches integration so that it scales beyond any one person. **What You’ll Do** - Lead on-truck bring-up and integration of embedded compute platforms, sensors, networking, and vehicle interfaces, from first power-on through validated, deployable configurations. - Own integration of platform, embedded, and autonomy software releases onto target hardware, defining acceptance criteria and making the call on integration readiness. - Drive root-cause investigations that span hardware, firmware, OS, middleware, and application software, and see them through to durable fixes. - Design and evolve Hardware-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, and on-vehicle validation environments so they faithfully represent production trucks and catch issues before the field. - Architect automation frameworks, diagnostic tooling, and integration processes that other engineers adopt, and define system-level test strategies for new platform variants. - Represent integration in cross-functional design reviews, using lab and field evidence to influence hardware and software architecture decisions and to surface systemic risks. - Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and author the bring-up procedures, troubleshooting guides, and reference documentation that become the team’s standard. **What You’ll Need to Succeed** - Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field; Master’s preferred. - 5+ years of experience integrating hardware and software systems, with demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-disciplinary integration efforts. - Hands-on experience bringing up embedded Linux compute platforms, including boot flow, kernel and driver configuration, BSP customization, and system-level debugging. - Strong Python and C++ (or comparable) skills, with experience building tools and automation used by other engineers. - Experience designing or maintaining Hardware-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, or equivalent validation environments, and working with CI/CD and automated test frameworks. - Working knowledge of vehicle and robotics communication stacks such as Ethernet, CAN, PTP, DDS, and ROS 2, including deployment on embedded targets. - Proven ability to lead cross-domain root-cause investigations using logs, telemetry, bus captures, and lab instrumentation. - Strong written and verbal
