**Application Deadline:** Oct 16, 2026 **About the Program** HRT is seeking qualified PhD candidates for our Winter Internship Program. The program is a **3-week introduction to quantitative research** designed for graduate students with **little or no experience in quantitative trading**. **What You’ll Do** - Learn about a wide range of trading styles from leading experts in the field - Work on independent research projects representative of real work at HRT - Train models on HRT’s state-of-the-art compute cluster - Explore New York City through social events and tech talks **Program Details** - **Start Date:** January 4, 2027 - **Location:** In-person, **New York City office** **Requirements** - Full-time PhD student graduating **between fall 2027 and summer 2029** in a technical or quantitative discipline (math, physics, computer science, statistics, machine learning, or related) - Demonstrated programming experience; **Python and/or C++ preferred** - Passion for technology and excitement for learning something new - Exceptional problem-solving skills - Strong communication skills *This program is specifically offered for individuals without extensive experience in the quantitative trading industry.* **Compensation** - **Weekly base salary:** $5,800 - Plus **company-paid housing, meals, and other perks** **Culture (HRT)** Hudson River Trading (HRT) brings a scientific approach to trading financial products.
