## Software Architect (Remote Support) **Location:** Remote (must be local to the **DC metro area** for occasional work in **Reston, VA**) ### Responsibilities - Develop and support **operational support mechanisms**, including **documentation** and **procedures** for core and fielded systems - Collaborate with developers and mission stakeholders to support **system requirements**, **operational processes**, and **technical solutions** - Develop and maintain **operational processes**, **documentation**, and **procedures** for system sustainment - Gather, analyze, and maintain **system requirements** for technical solution development - Support **deployment** and **integration** of system capabilities across mission frameworks - Serve as a **primary point of contact** for coordination with internal teams and external partners - Collaborate with developers and engineers to support **system functionality** and enhancements - Assist in **troubleshooting**, **maintenance**, and **operational support** of fielded systems - Support **integration** and **interoperability** across distributed and mission systems ### Qualifications - **8+ years** with **BS/BA**; **6+ years** with **MS/MA**; **3+ years** with **PhD** - Must have an **active Top Secret/SCI clearance** - Experience deploying and managing **Windows** and **Linux** systems - Experience deploying and managing **virtual environments** - **DoD 8570 IAT Level I** certification (**Security+ or higher**) ### Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company delivering mission capability integration and transformative enterprise IT solutions across land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace. ### Target Salary Range **$104,000 - $166,000** (typical range; final offer depends on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location).
