**Senior Engineering Manager, Grafana Frontend** **Location:** USA (EST time zones only) | Remote **About Grafana Labs:** Grafana Labs is the company behind Grafana Cloud, the fully managed observability platform trusted by 10,000+ organizations. We're 100% remote with team members across 40+ countries, backed by leading investors including Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners. **The Opportunity:** Lead the Frontend Platform and Navigation squads, owning their performance, delivery, and customer outcomes. You'll develop senior engineers, partner with Product and Design, and improve how teams work through AI and automation. **Key Responsibilities:** • Lead two distributed engineering squads with accountability for performance, hiring, and team development • Own delivery from discovery through rollout and measurement • Partner with Product, Design, and engineering leaders on priorities and trade-offs • Set engineering direction for frontend foundations and navigation/search capabilities • Lead adoption of AI and automation across engineering workflows • Participate in engineering management on-call rotation • Drive improvements that increase engineering productivity and business outcomes **What We're Looking For:** • Significant experience managing senior engineers and building healthy teams • Strong technical foundation in modern web/frontend systems • Track record of turning ambiguous problems into clear priorities and measurable results • Strong product and customer judgment • Clear written communication and remote-work experience • Appreciation for open-source development • Practical experience using AI and automation in leadership **Bonus Skills:** React/TypeScript experience, developer platform team leadership, navigation/search product experience, multitenant SaaS delivery, or open-source product background. **Compensation & Benefits:** • Base: USD $208,602 - $250,322 (varies by level and experience) • Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) • 30 days annual leave + Grafana Shutdown Days • In-person onboarding • Company-funded AI coding assistant budget • Access to frontier AI models **Why Join:** 100% remote global culture, scaling organization, transparent communication, innovation-driven environment, open-source roots, high-trust teams, career growth pathways, and approachable leadership.
