Powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system, Anduril delivers cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military. **About the Team** The Air Defense team owns the cryptographic foundation and platform trust for Anduril's Air Defense products. Responsibilities span firmware and secure boot to key management, anti-tamper, and compliance automation across proprietary hardware and software in contested, classified, and disconnected environments. **The Role** Design and implement cryptographic and platform security for trustworthy products in contested and classified environments. This hands-on role involves: • FIPS 140-3 validated encryption, algorithm selection, and validation evidence • Platform trust chains: secure/measured boot, TPM attestation, firmware signing, rollback protection • Full-disk encryption, key management, rotation, and hierarchies • Anti-tamper, zeroization, tamper detection, and adversarial testing • Secure communications: protocol design, mTLS, cross-domain transport, CNSA-compliant ciphers • Audit and validation tooling, fuzzers, and adversarial tests • Linux, container, and firmware hardening • Compliance automation: NIST 800-53, STIG, CNSSI as machine-readable policy in CI **Required Qualifications** • Production code fluency in C/C++, Rust, Golang, or Python (C or Rust preferred) • 5-8 years of security-critical systems engineering with deep technical ownership • Applied cryptography: implementation, key handling, device identity and boot trust • Low-level systems depth: Linux kernel, memory, filesystems, device drivers, firmware debugging • Firmware/embedded/cyber-physical systems hardening and adversarial attack assessment • Secure communications and network protocol experience (TLS/PKI, tunneling, degraded networks) • CI/CD systems experience; infrastructure as code • RMF and NIST 800-53 working knowledge • Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance (TS/SCI with polygraph preferred) **Preferred Qualifications** • 8+ years relevant experience or national-security cryptographic background • FIPS 140-2/140-3 validation, CSfC, Type 1 encryption, HAIPE, or KMI experience • CNSA 2.0 / Suite B or post-quantum cryptography work • Vulnerability research, reverse engineering, exploit development, or hardware attacks • Anti-tamper, TEMPEST, or physical security engineering • Embedded/edge expertise: U-Boot/UEFI, TPM/TEE, secure elements • Rust or Golang at production scale in security-critical components • Policy-as-code at scale (OSCAL, OPA/Rego, OpenSCAP, InSpec) • CS, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity degree or equivalent **Compensation** US Salary Range: $191,000 – $253,000 USD Competitive equity grants and top-tier benefits included.
