**Senior Software Engineer, Front End – Super App (Applications)** **Role Overview** ID.me is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Front End to join the Applications team, building the SuperApp - ID.me's web experience that helps members discover where their verified identity unlocks benefits, offers, and services across commerce, government, healthcare, and travel. This role covers the SuperApp's customer-facing web surfaces, including the Browser Extension, Home Page, Life Events, and Government section. This position is based in Mountain View, CA (5 days/week on-site). **Key Responsibilities** • Build and maintain SuperApp web experiences using React and TypeScript, including Browser Extension UI (content scripts, popup, injected components) • Implement contextual offer discovery, coupon/cashback detection, and in-page notification patterns • Integrate with Shopping Graph and Developer Portal APIs for merchant, offer, and eligibility data • Contribute to the broader ID.me Shop web experience as roadmap priorities evolve • Collaborate with Design and Product teams to turn concepts into member-centered web UI • Ensure shipped features meet standards for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser reliability (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) • Provide production support and maintenance for shipped features **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) • 4+ years frontend engineering experience (or 2+ years with Master's degree) • Experience building/maintaining browser extensions (Chrome/Edge/Firefox) including content scripts, service workers, and Manifest V3 • Solid production experience with React and Next.js **Nice to Have** • Deep expertise in vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and the DOM • Native Web Components experience in production • Micro-frontend architectures or design system contributions • E-commerce, marketplace, or discovery UI experience • Identity, benefits, or credential-based access knowledge • Design system and accessibility expertise • AI-native engineering practices **Compensation & Benefits** Mountain View, CA: $166,000 – $216,000 USD Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, parental leave, unlimited PTO (8 company holidays), and more.
