As a **Senior Software Engineer**, you’ll work on foundational problems that affect many teams. You’ll design and build reliable, scalable, secure, and easy-to-use systems—turning common infrastructure needs into reusable platforms, tooling, and automation so teams can move faster without repeatedly solving the same problems. ### The Opportunity You’ll work across platform engineering, developer experience, cloud & AI infrastructure, and security/compliance. You’ll own complex infrastructure problems end to end—from understanding needs to designing, building, and driving adoption. You’ll have opportunities to: - Build and extend platforms and developer tooling for service development and deployment - Improve scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency of infrastructure - Lead infrastructure projects and collaborate across Moloco for durable solutions - Help shape Moloco’s AI infrastructure approach (safe, compliant, cost-effective AI workloads) - Establish safe defaults, guardrails, and best practices - Mentor engineers and raise software design/implementation quality --- ## How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me? ### Software Engineering Foundation - BS in Computer Science (or related) - **5+ years** of hands-on software development experience - Strong skills in at least one modern language such as **Go, Java, Rust, or Python** ### Systems and Technical Depth - Experience designing/building **large-scale, low-latency, highly reliable** systems - Strong system design skills (requirements → design → implementation → launch → adoption → production operations) - Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native technologies (e.g., **Kubernetes, Airflow, Dataflow, Spark, Redis, BigTable**, etc.) - Experience with software delivery and developer tools (e.g., **CI/CD, GitHub, Jenkins**, or AI-assisted development tools) ### Ownership and Collaboration - Strong problem-solving and ability to make sound tradeoffs in ambiguous situations - Ability to use AI-assisted development tools while independently validating outputs and owning design/implementation/testing/security decisions - Clear communication and effective collaboration with engineers and stakeholders - Experience leading projects through influence while staying hands-on --- ## Preferred Skills - Experience building foundational platforms, developer infrastructure, or reusable shared services - Experience improving developer productivity via platform design, tooling, automation, or adoption - Experience with infrastructure observability, performance optimization, or cost efficiency - Experience in AI infrastru
