Every day, our team members make food from scratch using fresh ingredients delivered that morning. --- ## Role Overview The **Food Cost & Inventory Systems Manager** sits on the Business Technology team and owns the systems that underpin **food cost (COGS)** and **inventory management**—from upstream suppliers, farmers, and lead logistics partners into our restaurants, and through to our customers. This is a **hands-on systems ownership** role **without direct reports**. You’ll partner closely with **Ops Services, Restaurant Operators, Supply Chain, and Finance** to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable food cost and inventory data across **287+ restaurants nationwide**. **Location:** In-person at our **Los Angeles Support Center** at least **4 days/week**. --- ## You Will - Administer, configure, and maintain platforms that manage COGS and inventory, including **Crunchtime: Net-Chef**, **FoodLogiq**, and **ArrowStream** (and contribute to the roadmap for how these systems evolve). - Build and maintain processes that keep COGS and inventory data accurate (e.g., **pack size**, **cage-free**, **organic**, **no-antibiotics-ever**, **price**, **invoicing**, and **reconciliation**) for pre-prepared COGS and post-prepped ingredients. - Partner with Ops Services, Restaurant Operators, and Supply Chain to align system solutions across the end-to-end food journey—from farms to distribution to restaurants to customers. - Identify and resolve system gaps and inefficiencies affecting COGS tracking, inventory management, and supply chain visibility (including **data reconciliation** and **mapping**). - Build, maintain, and upgrade **integrations and APIs** connecting these systems; partner with Retail Technology, Finance, and Supply Chain on reporting and analytics that inform food cost and inventory decisions. - Establish and maintain **SOPs and best practices** for COGS-related system use across restaurant and support center teams; manage day-to-day relationships with the SaaS vendors behind these platforms. --- ## Desired Traits - Comfortable moving between operational detail and system design without losing sight of either. - Able to translate what operators and supply chain partners need into practical, scalable technical solutions. - Clear communication with both technical and operational audiences. - Strong ownership of **data integrity** and follow-through to root cause. - Builds trusted relationships across functions and brings partners along. - Organized and methodical—especially in an environment where small details have real financial impact. - Curious about how the industry solves these problems and brings ideas back to the team. --- ## Desired Experience - **6+ years** in business technology, systems administration, or technical operations, including direct work on **inventory** or **COGS** systems. - Restaurant or QSR experience with **COGS management** and **inventory management**. - Hands-on knowledge of **Crunchtime: Net-Chef** or a comparable inventory/COGS management system. - Strong understanding of the end-to-end food supply chain (upstream suppliers, distributors, lead logistics) and how it flows into restaurant operations. - Experience with data integration, reporting, and analytics tools supporting inventory and food cost visibility. - Demonstrated success partnering c
