**Technical Program Manager, Public Sector** **About Anthropic** Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems—safe and beneficial for users and society. **About the Role** Claude is used across government, from US federal civilian agencies to national security, state and local, and allied international governments. Each segment has its own regulatory and deployment constraints. This role owns the program to deliver Claude into public sector environments—standing up compliant infrastructure with cloud partners, landing new models in restricted environments, bringing application suite parity with commercial, and clearing frameworks like FedRAMP for each segment. You’ll be the single owner of the program: you’ll know where every workstream stands, what it’s waiting on, and who needs to decide—building a predictable cadence for new models/products and turning recurring efforts into repeatable processes. **Responsibilities** - Own the program for delivering new Claude models into public sector environments (sequencing, dependencies, and tradeoffs across research, inference/capacity, cloud partners, safeguards, and compliance) - Drive FedRAMP and similar authorization programs for public sector offerings (with privacy, security, compliance, and platform engineering) - Plan and sequence work across public sector segments (model/API availability, application parity, and segment-specific product work) - Represent public sector requirements in model launch planning alongside launch TPMs - Establish an operating rhythm: a single view of workstreams, owners, dependencies, risks, and status, with planning, escalation paths, and launch coordination across orgs - Convert recurring efforts into documented, repeatable processes to reduce bespoke coordination over time **You may be a good fit if you** - Have several years of technical program management experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs - Have shipped software/infrastructure into regulated or restricted environments (e.g., government clouds, air-gapped deployments, FedRAMP or similar) - Can engage meaningfully with infrastructure, ML, and security engineers - Have experience coordinating across multiple engineering teams/organizations (including research, security, and compliance) - Are highly organized and can manage multiple parallel workstreams across distributed teams - Thrive in unstructured environments—bringing order to ambiguity and creating clarity - Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can influence without authority - Have public sector/defense/government cloud experience, or hold/are eligible for a US security clearance (preferred, not required) - Are passionate about bringing AI capabilities to public institutions safely and reliably - Are a US person (required for these roles) **Logistics** - **Minimum education:** Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education/training/experience) - **Required field of study:** Field relevant to the role (via coursework/training/professional experience) - **Location-based hybrid policy:** Expect to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time (some roles may require more) - **Visa sponsorship:** Available, but not guaranteed for every role/candidate **Compensation** - **Annual Salary:** $365,000–$435,000 USD **Safety note** Anthropic recruiters only contact candidates from **@anthropic.com** email addresses (and may use vetted recruiting agencies).
