**Software Engineer** **About Alljoined** Alljoined is creating a future where humans are fully understood and augmented by technology. Our work solves the communication bottleneck between humans and computers by decoding thoughts from the brain—entirely non-invasively. We apply deep learning research to large-scale EEG datasets to decode multimedia input, with the long-term goal of internal thought. We’re state-of-the-art in capabilities and fully vertically integrated, and we’re building toward a general consumer interface to transform how we live. **About the Role** As a Software Engineer, you will build the infrastructure that enables high-quality, fast research. You’ll own and develop pipelines that process massive EEG datasets, and write the infrastructure that powers physical experiments and data analysis. You’ll help power neural decoding technology while working alongside world-class researchers pushing the boundaries of brain-computer interfaces. **You Might Be a Good Fit If You** - Have **5+ years** of production software engineering experience with deep expertise in **Python** and systems-level architecture. - Have built and maintained **high-performance data pipelines** for processing and storing massive datasets. - Are comfortable building the infrastructure and front-end tools needed to **visualize experimental stimuli in real time**. - Have experience managing entire software stacks, **cloud infrastructure**, and **dependency management**. - Can work across the full stack to debug low-level system performance issues or architect new foundational services. - Enjoy owning the full technical lifecycle of a project—from **design** through **production deployment** and **maintenance**. **Strong Candidates May Have** - Experience developing internal libraries, SDKs, or tooling that powers machine learning and computational neuroscience workflows. - Built core Python infrastructure (e.g., interpreters, package ecosystems, typing tools) or maintained widely-used open-source Python developer tools with significant adoption. - Expertise in Python performance optimization (e.g., **Cython**, profiling tools, or optimizing Python runtimes). **Compensation Range** - **$140,000 – $200,000/year** - Competitive equity compensation at a seed-stage startup Final compensation will be determined based on your skills and experience and may be outside this range. **Benefits** - Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance - Options for housing support - Visa sponsorship - Unlimited PTO - **3% 401(k) matching**
