About this role
## Responsibilities - Support the SITEC (Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract) 3 EOM at **MacDill AFB (Florida)**. - Serve as the **primary technical authority** for end-to-end design, implementation, deployment, testing, and sustainment of **secure cross-domain data transfer and access** technologies. - Architect, size, and deploy approved **hardware/software cross-domain systems**, including: - **Transfer solutions** (e.g., one-way data diodes, guard architectures) - **Access solutions** (e.g., virtual desktop infrastructure across security boundaries) - Design isolated interconnects, **DMZ transit zones**, and dedicated **out-of-band management planes** to prevent protocol bleeding, cross-classification spills, and network loopbacks. - Build **fault-tolerant CDS topologies** (e.g., active/standby guard pairs, automated failover paths, buffer management) to support high-throughput mission telemetry. - Author, validate, and maintain complex **deterministic filter policies** and **schema validations** (XML/JSON Schemas, XSDs), including parsers for **PDF, imagery/NITF, Office documents, and streaming video**. - Evaluate policy override requests and edge cases against security baselines to ensure compliance and prevent covert communication pathways. - Execute certified **OS updates, microcode patches, and DISA STIGs** on guard systems through rigorous **CCB** (change control board) processes. - Develop and review technical documentation, including system designs, interface control documents, security artifacts, test plans, implementation procedures, and operational runbooks. - Troubleshoot complex cross-domain/network/system/security issues in **classified environments**, providing root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions. - Act as a trusted senior engineer for programs requiring secure, reliable, and accredited information sharing across sensitive networks. ## Qualifications - **DoD TS/SCI required**. - **DoD 8570.01-M IAT II** required. - Must be **DoD 8140 compliant** under **Work Role Code 451 (System Administrator – Intermediate or higher)**. - Minimum experience (choose one): - **12+ years** with HS Diploma - **10+ years** with AS/AA - **8+ years** with BS/BA - **6+ years** with MS/MA - **3+ years** with PhD - Strong understanding of **RedHat Linux architecture**. ## Target Salary Range - **$80,000 – $128,000** (typical range; final offer depends on factors including experience, education, location, and contract/business considerations). ## Company **Peraton** — next-generation national security company and enterprise IT provider supporting missions across land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace.
