**Senior Manager, Cyber Systems Engineering** **Location:** MacDill AFB, Florida **Overview** Peraton is seeking a **Cyber Systems Operations Manager** to support the **Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 – Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM)**. This role is critical to **USSOCOM**, its component commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces supporting **24x7x365** operations. **Responsibilities** - Design, build, and implement technical solutions that **enhance cybersecurity posture** and improve resilience against cyber threats. - Lead a team of **cyber systems administrators and engineers** to operate and maintain enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure and technologies. - Maintain cybersecurity tools and platforms supporting **endpoint, network, and SIEM operations**. - Provide technical direction, **workload prioritization**, and mentorship to ensure consistent engineering standards and effective tool sustainment. - Oversee **configuration management**, **patching**, and **lifecycle operations** for cyber tools to ensure operational readiness. - Conduct technical reviews, validation, and troubleshooting for **service configurations and integrations**. - Coordinate with the Operations Manager to maintain **uptime, service health, and compliance** with defined service-level objectives. - Provide architectural direction and engineering oversight for cybersecurity tools, platforms, and services. - Lead architecture/design discussions across **cyber enclaves, network zones, and cloud environments** to deliver secure, scalable, integrated solutions. - Develop and maintain **architecture diagrams, design patterns, and engineering standards**. - Define integration architectures across **SIEM, EDR, SOAR, firewalls, and identity platforms** to maximize telemetry and detection fidelity. - Collaborate with the Service Owner Lead to translate design concepts into actionable strategies and implementation roadmaps. - Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to **modernization** and **zero-trust** initiatives. - Provide senior technical oversight for sustainment operations across cybersecurity platforms and services. - Ensure robust **configuration documentation**, **version control**, and engineering discipline for deployments and changes. - Advise on technical risk areas, dependency impacts, and resourcing needs. - Oversee technical validation during **service transitions, migrations, and new tool onboarding**. - Serve as the primary technical liaison between cybersecurity services, enterprise architecture, and IT infrastructure teams. - Maintain comprehensive system and architecture documentation (network diagrams, data flows, integration topologies). - Support version-controlled documentation practices (e.g., **GitLab/Git**) for traceability and integrity. - Contribute to engineering **runbooks**, technical standards, and design rationales. **Qualifications** - **Minimum 12 years of experience** - **DoD TS/SCI clearance** - **DoD 8570 IAT II Certification** - Must be **DoD 8140 compliant** under **Work Role Code 451 – System Administrator (Advanced)** - Strong understanding of **Zero Trust Architecture** and cybersecurity enclave tools (Endpoint, Network, SIEM, ACAS) **Target Salary Range** **$104,000 – $166,000** (typical range; final offer depends on experience, scope, location, and contract/business considerations). May include eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and a discretion
