Treat feedback on scope, design, and code quality as a core part of improvement. - **Participate in on-call rotation:** Triage and address issues supporting members, ensuring timely resolutions and assisting internal teams in investigations. **About you** - 3–5 years writing readable, tested, efficient production code - Primarily **Ruby on Rails** (strong Rails experience preferred), but open to exceptional backend engineers in other languages who can ramp quickly on Rails - Experience with **relational databases** (PostgreSQL) - Experience building and consuming **APIs and integrations** across service boundaries - Fluency with **AI-assisted development** (use AI coding assistants daily; thoughtful, quality-conscious perspective on where they help and where they don’t) - Experience with **workflow automation platforms** (e.g., Tines, n8n, or similar) and building API-driven automation workflows - Track record of shipping measurable improvements to well-defined problems, with communication skills to translate business needs to technical reality - Solid debugging and optimization skills - Strong grasp of **SDLC** processes and frameworks - Comfort ramping onto unfamiliar codebases with support, and good judgment on when to consult system owners **Bonus points for** - Experience with a modern front-end framework (React, Vue) - Healthcare or other regulated/data-sensitive domain experience - Exposure to solutions engineering, implementation, or customer-facing technical environments (internship/rotation/project work counts) **Benefits** - Competitive salary with generous annual cash bonus - Equity grants - Employee stock purchasing plans (ESPP) - Remote-first work from home culture - Flexible Time Off - Generous parental leave - Health, dental, and vision insurance (and above market employer contributions) - 401k retirement savings plan - Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) - Mental Health Support Solutions - …and more! **About O
