About this role
## Overview We are looking for a **mid-senior Platform Engineer** to support our **IronGate** application—an **ETL platform running in AWS**. You’ll be the primary owner of the cloud environment for this product, partnering closely with the application team to keep the platform **reliable, secure, and easy to operate**. ## Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain **CI/CD pipelines** to automate build, test, and deployment across **development, staging, and production** - Build and manage **AWS infrastructure**, including **S3, IAM, networking**, and services supporting **secure file transfer and data movement** - Move IronGate from manual setups to **Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)** for consistent, repeatable environments - Implement **security best practices** (access control, encryption, secure configurations) - Set up and maintain **monitoring, logging, and alerting** for clear visibility into system health and issues - Work with **PostgreSQL** and other data storage solutions supporting the IronGate data pipeline - Collaborate with the IronGate product team (developers and product owners) to translate requirements into robust platform solutions ## Qualifications **Required Qualifications** - **6+ years** experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar - Strong hands-on experience with **AWS** (e.g., **S3, IAM, VPC/networking, security groups**) - Experience designing and maintaining **CI/CD pipelines** (e.g., **GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins**, etc.) - Experience with **Infrastructure-as-Code** tools (e.g., **Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK**) - Experience applying **security best practices** in cloud environments - Experience with **monitoring and logging** (e.g., **CloudWatch** or similar) - Strong experience with **PostgreSQL** and familiarity with other data storage options - Comfortable serving as the **primary platform owner** while collaborating with other technical teams **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience in **regulated cloud environments** (e.g., **AWS GovCloud**, **FedRAMP**, **DoD**-governed environments) - Experience with **AWS Transfer Family** and **AWS DataSync** - Experience with **ETL** or **data pipeline** workloads - Experience supporting web application teams (e.g., **React/Angular**) from an infrastructure/deployment perspective ## What This Role Offers - Chance to be the **primary platform engineer** for a key application - Opportunity to shape and standardize how we build and run cloud infrastructure - Close collaboration with a product team delivering real value on modern AWS services **Target salary range:** **$111,426.84 - $192,890.16** ## Security Clearance Requirements - Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a **U.S. Government security clearance** - **Only U.S. Citizens** are eligible for a security clearance - LMI will only consider applicants with security clearances or those eligible for security clearances ## Job Location - **US-Remote**
