The NRO collects and delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. --- ## Basic Eligibility - U.S. Citizen - Ability to obtain and maintain a **TS/SCI** security clearance - Pre-employment and periodic **drug testing** - Pre-employment and periodic **polygraph examinations** --- ## Where You Will Work The **Communications Directorate (COMM)** within the **National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)** is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as **COMM Referent - NRO Office of the Director**. You will provide **executive level Tier I and II enterprise technical support** to the **NRO Director** and **COMM Director** suites. This role reports to the **Chief and Deputy Chief of Operations Division** within **Digital-Workspace Solutions Group (COMM/DSG/OPS)**. --- ## What You Will Be Doing - Develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies for agency service planning and delivery - Provide technical advice, guidance, and recommendations on critical IT issues - Serve as a direct link between **COMM** and the **NRO Office of the Director** - Provide **“white glove”** COMM services (e.g., workstations, phones, video conferences) - Clarify and represent the NRO Office of the Director’s digital business needs to COMM groups and offices - Integrate end-to-end IT service delivery to satisfy the Director’s IT requirements - Coordinate with IT groups within **NRO, CIA, DoW, and other partner organizations** to ensure stakeholder equities are communicated and IT solutions are realized - Provide status reporting and enable/conduct briefings and system demonstrations - Lead and/or support DSG initiatives to develop, deploy, operate, and maintain secure enterprise IT solutions for digital workspaces worldwide - Assist DNRO Office staff with IC-wide conferences and activities as assigned - Other duties/projects as assigned (including projects with a heavy **cyber security** focus) --- ## Who May Apply (Summary) - **Open to the public** - **External applicants only** for this announcement (current NRO Cadre employees apply internally) - Federal employees must currently be at the advertised grade level or higher - This is **not** a promotion opportunity; federal employees transition **laterally** at their current grade level and step --- ## Qualifications **Highly Desired** - Bachelor’s degree in a related field (software engineering, IT, cybersecurity, systems/network engineering, etc.) - Experience with interrelationships of multiple IT specialties - Understanding of organizational IT architecture - Knowledge of new IT developments and applications **Desired** - Program management or technical management expertise (cost, performance, schedule, technical reporting) - Experience with NRO missions/programs and management processes - Knowledge of DoW and Intelligence Community organizations, missions, relevant policies, and processes **Resume note:** Experience must be reflected in your resume.
