Since our public launch, we’ve crossed **$130M** in Annualised Revenue and grown to **10M+ users** across **190+ countries**, with **12M+ applications** built on Emergent. **The Role** We’re hiring a Software Engineer Intern to build and ship real production systems that serve users globally. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers across infrastructure, AI/ML, and product teams, taking ownership of meaningful projects from design to production while learning the principles of distributed systems, scalability, and reliability at scale. **What you’ll do** - Build and maintain backend services using **Python and/or Go** - Collaborate with engineers across infrastructure, AI/ML, and product teams - Contribute to production systems serving users globally - Learn and apply distributed systems, scalability, reliability, and performance principles - Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and deployment workflows - Take ownership of meaningful projects from design to production **What we’re looking for** - Fresh graduates - Strong foundation in **data structures, algorithms, and CS fundamentals** - Proficiency in at least one language such as **Python, Go, or Java** - Hands-on experience via internships, academic projects, hackathons, or open-source - Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn quickly - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment **Nice to have** - Exposure to **cloud platforms**, **Docker**, **Kubernetes**, or distributed systems - Experience building backend applications, APIs, or developer tools - Contributions to open-source or strong personal engineering projects - Interest in **AI**, developer infrastructure, or large-scale systems **Why join us** - Build products used by millions of users worldwide - Work alongside exceptional engineers and industry leaders - Get mentorship while owning impactful projects from day one - Learn at a pace that’s hard to find anywhere else - Competitive compensation and significant growth opportunities - Help define the future of software development powered by AI **Benefits and perks** - Health, dental, and vision insurance *Let’s build the future of software together.*
