We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and we’re looking for amazing talent to help us get there. **Role: Software Engineer — Discovery UX** As a Software Engineer on the Discovery UX team, you’ll build frontend features across discovery surfaces like Home and Search. You’ll help users find games they’ll love and help developers reach their audience. You’ll design, build, and measure your own features, working with partners across Roblox. If you’re data-driven and passionate about building a cohesive user experience, you’ll be right at home on this team! **You Will** - Design, build, and ship features that define the discovery journey for millions of users - Drive UX improvements through rigorous A/B testing and deep-dive analysis of experiment results - Collaborate with teams across Roblox to ensure a coherent user experience across Web and App **You Have** - 1–3 years of industry experience building web or mobile applications using technologies such as React, TypeScript, and JavaScript - A passion for understanding users and creating exceptional experiences for our community - Flexibility to work across areas such as backend systems and data infrastructure when needed to achieve project goals - An analytical mindset, with the ability to anticipate edge cases and use data to understand the impact of your work - Respect for teammates and a commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment **Work Authorization / Sponsorship Note** Please note the Company may not be able to employ candidates who have United States work authorization related to certain U.S. visa categories, or support future F-1 or H-1B sponsorship at this time. **Compensation (HQ: San Mateo, CA)** - Starting base pay range: **$153,120 — $196,750 USD** - Actual base pay depends on job-related factors (background, training, experience, location, business needs, and market demand) - Full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and benefits **Onsite Schedule (Office-based roles)** Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (optional presence on Monday and Friday, unless otherwise noted). **Equal Opportunity** Roblox provides equal employment opportunities and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type.
