## Senior Sensor Analyst (Linthicum, MD) — On-site (M–F) Peraton is seeking a **Senior Sensor Analyst** in support of a **DoD customer**. This role offers an opportunity to work on **cyber investigations, digital forensics, cyber threat analysis, and mission support** in a dynamic, collaborative environment. ### What you’ll do - Conduct **intelligence analysis** and **operational planning** to monitor, assess, and report on **cyberspace operations** - Identify potential threats to **DoD critical assets**, the **DoD Information Network (DoDIN)**, and the **Defense Industrial Base (DIB)** - Support **US Intelligence Community** and **interagency grid network sensor portfolios** - Research and evaluate **technical and all-source intelligence**, focusing on **network operations** and **cyber warfare tactics/procedures** - Analyze **sensor data** and **network events** to assess operational impact - Research **adversary capabilities** and produce **intelligence assessments**, **technical papers**, and **cyber threat profiles** - Develop and maintain **analytical procedures** to adapt to changing requirements - Produce high-quality **reports and presentations** for senior government officials - If you have **Cyber Protection Team (CPT)** experience, this may be a strong fit ### Qualifications - **Minimum experience**: - **8+ years** with **BS/BA** - **6+ years** with **MS/MA** - **3+ years** with **PhD** - Degree (highly desired): **IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering** - In lieu of a bachelor’s degree: **4 additional years of relevant experience** may be considered - Familiarity with **Cloud Security Architecture** and cybersecurity operations/analysis (e.g., **incident response & management**, **forensic media analysis**, **malware analysis/reverse-engineering**, **threat intelligence analysis**) - In-depth knowledge of **network/application protocols**, **vulnerabilities**, **exploitation techniques**, and **adversary TTPs** - Proficiency analyzing network data such as **Netflow**, **PCAP**, and **custom application logs**; using network sensors for defensive operations - Experience with **NIDS/IPS** for threat detection and response - Familiarity with **EDR** agents for end-user device monitoring - Proficiency with **SIEM forwarders** for centralized logging and threat detection - Experience with **vulnerability scanners** - Knowledge of **log collectors** for improved incident response and threat hunting - Experience drafting/editing **finished intelligence**, **executive summaries**, and other papers for senior leaders ### Clearance - **Active TS/SCI with Poly eligibility** ### Preferred Qualifications - Professional certifications (in good standing), such as: - **IAM Level II & III** - **CSSP Analyst** (Security+, GSEC, CND, CISSP, CASP+, GCIH, CEH) - **GIAC Certification** - Experience with **Law Enforcement/Counterintelligence (LE/CI)** and/or **Cyberspace Operations** - Skilled in building **extended cybersecurity analytics** - Demonstrated experience briefing **SES** and **GO/FO** leadership - Experience with **intelligence-driven defense** and/or **cyber Kill Chain** methodologies - **CNDA** experience ### Target Salary Range - **$135,000 – $216,000** (typical range; final offer depends on factors including experience, education, location, and contract considerations) - May include **overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonus** depending on po
