## Software DevOps Engineer ### Responsibilities - Automate and orchestrate workloads across **Mainframe** and **Amazon Web Services (AWS)** - Integrate **test automation** within **CI/CD pipelines** across legacy and modernized architectures - Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot **API components** supporting processing between legacy and web environments - Support **unit testing** and **integration** for application components - Help software developers with **CI/CD questions and issues** - Recommend and implement **process improvements** to enhance the CI/CD environment - Stay current on emerging technologies, with emphasis on **cloud computing** and **automation** ### Qualifications **Basic Qualifications** - **5 years** with BS/BA; or **9 years** with a high school diploma - Demonstrated experience in **DevOps automation**, **configuration**, and **deployment management** - Proficiency with DevOps tools such as: **Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Splunk, SonarQube, Docker, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Salt** (or similar) - Proven ability to deliver in an **Agile/Scrum** environment - Experience with **Jira** and **Confluence** - Hands-on programming experience with **Python, PHP, Ruby, Groovy, Java** - Proficiency using **CI/CD tools** to automate testing and deployment - Strong **communication**, **analytical**, and **interpersonal** skills - Ability to obtain and maintain a **Public Trust clearance** - **US Citizen** **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience implementing DevOps/CI/CD pipelines in a **mainframe z/OS** environment - Familiarity with mainframe DevOps tools such as **IBM Dependency Based Build, Groovy, UrbanCode Deploy** - **AWS certification** (any level); **AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional** preferred ### Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company and a transformative enterprise IT provider delivering trusted solutions across critical domains. ### Target Salary Range **$112,000 - $179,000** (typical range; final offer depends on experience, education, location, and contract/business factors).
