About this role
**Responsibilities** - Support a large enterprise-wide engineering contract within the Intelligence Community. - Provide assessments of end-user architectures and system administration solutions to meet required capabilities. - Administer **Linux** and **VMware**. - Coordinate with network, storage, and server personnel to define new or modified solutions to complex problems. - Respond to requests for new systems to meet capacity and user requirements. - Install and administer user desktops for specific critical user-access systems. **Qualifications** - **Bachelor’s degree** in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university **and 10 years** systems administration experience on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. - **4 additional years** of systems administration experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree. - At least **2 years** experience in **modern operating systems and network architectures**. - At least **2 years** experience in **certification and accreditation**. - Experience with: - Architecture development and design - Risk assessments - IA metrics gathering - **DoD 8570** compliance with **Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher**. - Ability to break down complex problem spaces, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against established baselines. - Ability to recommend, configure, and manage **Linux** systems and **VMware**, including installing/loading OS software. - Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of, and configure network components; implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance. - Requires an **active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph**. **Desired Qualifications** - Strong oral and written communication skills. **Location / Position Details** - **Full-time** position - **1880 hours/year** of support - Work performed at a **customer location** in **Jessup, MD** **Security / Eligibility** - Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. **Compensation** - Target salary range: **$146,000 – $234,000** (varies by factors including experience, education, location, and contract/business considerations) - May be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus (depending on position) **Peraton Benefits (highlights)** - Heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents - **25 days PTO** accrued annually (up to a generous cap) - Eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan #MDFSP #AJCM
