About this role

**ABOUT THE ROLE:** Accela is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Professional Services team. Lead implementations of the ePermitHub Digital Plan Room for government agencies using the Accela Civic Platform. Manage implementations from discovery and solution design through configuration, scripting, testing, training, and go-live, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** • Analyze client needs and deliver scalable solutions meeting business and technical requirements • Design Digital Plan Room solutions based on existing Civic Platform configurations • Create solution design documents, configuration specifications, and business-rules documentation • Own Civic Platform configuration and custom JavaScript (EMSE) scripting tasks • Design and run testing, user acceptance, training, and go-live support • Independently manage multiple concurrent implementations • Serve as senior technical escalation for production issues • Enhance best practices, tools, and frameworks for global customer success • Act as trusted advisor to customers and project teams • Mentor junior consultants and promote knowledge-sharing • Travel up to 50% to client sites and industry events **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:** • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience • 5+ years configuring Accela Civic Platform with successful implementations • EMSE scripting experience with production-quality event scripts • Strong JavaScript skills and server-side scripting experience • Understanding of SaaS, multi-tenancy, and cloud infrastructure • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP-based integrations • SQL proficiency with SQL Server and Accela data model familiarity • Ability to lead customer-facing sessions and explain technical issues to non-technical audiences • Full implementation lifecycle experience from discovery through post-go-live support • Proficiency with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:** • State and Local Government software experience • Professional services or consulting background (Big 5 a plus) • Government domain expertise in permitting, land management, or plan review • Experience leading or mentoring implementation teams • Programming skills (C#, Node.js) • AI-assisted development tool experience • Pre-sales or scoping experience **COMPENSATION:** Annual base salary: $130,000–$145,000 plus annual bonus eligibility.
