**Engineering Manager, Merchandising Experience** ## About the Team DoorDash is seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team focused on: - Leveraging the merchandising platform to simplify consumer discovery for new use cases - Creating more variety in the customer experience to drive engagement This team operates at the intersection of product platform and product experience, helping solve some of DoorDash’s top priorities. ## About the Role As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a versatile full-stack engineering team spanning **mobile, web, and backend**. You’ll collaborate closely with partners across **product, strategy & operations, design, user research, and analytics** to define the roadmap and deliver high-impact outcomes. You’ll guide a data-centric team building an end-to-end **Occasions** user experience—creating **customizable, personalized, and reusable** experiences across mobile and web apps. ## You’ll Manage & Build - Lead a full-stack team across **iOS, Android, web, and backend** - Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define vision and roadmap - Coach engineers, delegate effectively, and uphold high engineering standards - Scale the team by developing internal talent and attracting top engineers ## We’re Excited About You Because You Have - A **B.S., M.S., or Ph.D.** in Computer Science (or equivalent) - **7+ years** of industry experience, including **2+ years** of management experience - Experience managing engineering across **BE + Android + iOS + Web** - Strong **product sense** and ability to partner with cross-functional peers - Hands-on experience working with non-technical stakeholders and building scalable products in a fast-paced environment - Ability to handle ambiguity and translate non-technical requirements into scalable solutions - Proven ability to guide and grow an engineering team in a rapidly changing business environment ## Compensation & Benefits (Summary) - Starting pay falls within the listed range based on job-related factors (including location, skills, and experience) - Equity grant opportunities - Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with employer match, paid parental leave, wellness benefits, paid time off and paid sick leave, and medical/dental/vision benefits **National base pay range (US, including IL and CO): $193,800 — $285,000 USD** ## About DoorDash DoorDash’s mission is to empower local economies.
