The **Developer Infrastructure** org is the engine behind Robinhood’s entire engineering organization—tightly integrated teams whose mission is to make every engineer **faster, more reliable, and radically more productive**. **You’ll lead across three major teams:** - **DevX (Developer Experience):** monorepo + Bazel build infrastructure, CI/CD, remote build execution, and developer environment tooling - **Backend Platform:** core language runtimes, libraries, IDEs, and developer toolchains (e.g., Python, Go, TypeScript) - **Mobile Platform:** developer toolchains for iOS/Android As **Senior Staff Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure**, you’re the technical driver of the org—an **Uber Tech Lead** unifying DevX, Backend Platform, and Mobile Platform under a single cohesive technical vision. **Primary focus:** DevX—Bazel build systems, monorepo, remote build execution, and CI/CD at scale. **Also key:** Robinhood’s **Agentic Developer Velocity** initiative—partnering with AI and platform teams to architect intelligent coding agents and automated workflows. **Location:** **New York City or Menlo Park** (in-person attendance expected at least **3 days/week**). --- ## What you’ll do - Own the **technical direction and roadmap** for Developer Infrastructure, serving as Uber Tech Lead across DevX, Backend Platform, and Mobile Platform - Lead and evolve Robinhood’s **Bazel-based monorepo build infrastructure** (including **remote build execution**), driving language-agnostic build optimization and ensuring fast, stable feedback loops - **Scale CI/CD pipelines** for thousands of daily builds with speed, safety, and reliability (GitHub configurations, pre-merge checks, and test execution infrastructure) - Drive **Agentic Developer Velocity** by partnering with AI/platform teams to architect coding agents, automated code review systems, and agentic workflows - Set technical standards across Backend Platform and Mobile Platform—owning the vision for core language runtimes, libraries, IDE tooling, and developer environment security (Python, Go, TypeScript, iOS/Android) - Improve **developer onboarding** and **remote development** experience (reduce time-to-first-commit; enable smooth code/build/test/deploy) - Partner with engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute a long-term developer infrastructure roadmap --- ## What you bring - **10+ years** software engineering experience with a track record at the **Senior Staff / Principal / Distinguished Engineer** level—setting org/company-level direction - Deep expertise with **Bazel** and large-scale **monorepo build systems**, including remote build execution infrastructure and architectural tradeoffs - Experience building and operating **CI/CD pipelines** at massive scale (thousands of daily builds, multiple languages, complex pre-merge logic) - Fluency in **Go and/or Python**; strong familiarity with **TypeS
