The Client and Identity Engineering team is responsible for establishing user identity and endpoint security infrastructure in Airbnb’s corporate environment—supporting corporate zero trust deployments. Their systems enable Airbnb employees and partners to securely access the data they need at the right time and in the right context. ### The Difference You Will Make This team builds systems with higher reliability and security requirements than most backend services. The platforms are critical—downtime can impact Airbnb employees and partners. The team also partners closely with security engineering to design new features and evolve the platforms as business needs change. As a **Senior Software Engineer**, you’ll build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure systems that underpin the Airbnb Zero Trust ecosystem, playing a pivotal role in delivering these critical platforms. ### A Typical Day - Work with open source products to build the next generation client platform for all Airbnb corporate endpoints. - Build on Airbnb’s zero trust back-end suite, supporting security services, network paths, and user/device signaling. - Support executive-level Airbnb staff with endpoint and identity solutions. - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to optimize endpoint and identity flows for employees and partners. ### Your Expertise - Bachelor’s and/or Master/PhD degree (preferably CS) or equivalent experience - 5+ years of experience in test-driven software development - Extensive experience with **Go, Python, or Java** (Go strongly preferred) - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code deployments > Note: The provided job description appears truncated after “Experience developing and deploying...”.
