## About Air Space Intelligence (ASI) ASI’s mission-critical technology powers decision-making across aviation, defense, energy, and other critical infrastructure domains—turning days of analysis into seconds of action. ## Civil Aviation Team We’re modernizing America’s air traffic control system on an accelerated timeline, tackling one of the world’s most complex real-time optimization challenges: safely coordinating tens of thousands of daily flights in a dynamic, safety-critical environment. Our team is building next-generation trajectory prediction and decision-support systems, while preparing the airspace for emerging technologies like commercial space operations and advanced air mobility. ## What You Will Do As a **Cloud Platform Engineer (Civil Aviation)**, you will build and operate the cloud infrastructure powering mission-critical aviation systems used in real-world operations. This is a hands-on role in production environments where you’ll: - Build and improve core infrastructure engineers rely on daily - Ship **infrastructure-as-code** and work with **Kubernetes-based systems** - Contribute to **deployment pipelines** for fast, safe releases - Partner with backend, product, and platform engineers to deploy services - Improve **observability** and respond to real production challenges (debugging, resilience, reliability) - Work on problems like scaling distributed systems, improving release safety, and reducing operational toil through automation ## What We Value - Experience building and operating production-grade cloud infrastructure - **AWS** experience (preferred) or other cloud providers (GCP, Azure) - Proficiency with **Kubernetes** and containerized environments - Experience with **infrastructure-as-code** (e.g., Terraform, Helm) - Experience designing and maintaining **CI/CD pipelines** for reliable, frequent production releases - Strong understanding of **distributed systems** and scalability - Observability/monitoring experience (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus) - Familiarity with production safety practices (testing, rollout/rollback strategies) - Experience operating and supporting **24/7** production systems - Ability to contribute to design reviews and architectural decisions - Strong collaboration skills in a mission-critical environment - Bonus: exposure to regulated cloud environments (e.g., FedRAMP) and progressive deployment techniques (e.g., canary releases) - Bonus: high-availability systems experience (e.g., “four nines” reliability) - Bonus: ability to leverage modern **LLM tools** to accelerate development workflows and improve code quality ## How We Hire Our interview process is designed to simulate what it’s like to work together—built around you. ## Important Note (Export-Controlled / Restricted Data) ASI works with export-controlled technology and restricted U.S. Government data, including contracts that may require U.S. immigration status and location restrictions for performing job duties.
