Born in Lisbon in 2018, we’re now self-funded with offices in both Lisbon and San Francisco, reaching over 100 million downloads worldwide. ### The Role As a **React Engineer**, you’ll build **responsive and accessible** user interfaces for our web applications. You’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to turn wireframes and prototypes into **elegant, stable, scalable** front-end experiences. > Note: This post is intended to enhance our talent pool while we prepare to launch the official job. If/when it’s posted, we’ll reach out. ### Responsibilities - **UI/UX Implementation:** Build high-quality, responsive UIs aligned with design specs; ensure compatibility across browsers and devices. - **Frontend Technologies:** Develop and maintain code using modern JS frameworks/libraries (e.g., **React**, Vue, Angular), plus **HTML5/CSS3** and responsive design. - **Performance Optimization:** Improve page load times, rendering performance, and overall UX. - **API Integration:** Work with backend teams to integrate **RESTful/GraphQL APIs** and ensure smooth client/server data flow. - **Accessibility & SEO:** Follow **WCAG** accessibility best practices and support SEO. - **Testing & Maintenance:** Write unit/integration/e2e tests (e.g., **Jest**, **Cypress**) and participate in code reviews. ### Requirements - **Education & Experience:** Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or related) + **~3+ years** front-end development experience. - **Core Skills:** Strong **JavaScript (ES6+)**, **HTML5**, **CSS3**, and experience with **React** (or Vue/Angular). - **Tooling & Workflow:** Familiarity with build pipelines (**Webpack/Rollup**), **Git**, and **CI/CD** practices. ### Benefits - Apple hardware ecosystem for work - Annual bonus - Medical insurance (including vision & dental) - Disability insurance (short & long-term) - 401k up to 4% contribution - Air stipend **$3120/year** (paid over 12 monthly installments for home office, learning, wellness, etc.) - Air Conference (meet the team, collaborate, and grow) ### Diversity & Inclusion We’re committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
