This fuels our growth and helps us launch new services at the speed we’ve had since our inception. **Role Overview** Coupang’s Rocket Growth Engineering Team is responsible for building the next generation fulfillment platform that allows Sellers to bring the widest possible quality selection of items at competitive prices to Coupang’s customers. This role requires leadership of one of the most critical systems that will invest millions of listings—enabling a quality experience for Sellers from Listings, and Order Fulfillment to Settlements. You’ll provide intelligence for Sellers to optimize their selection, prices, and fulfillment experience to meet Coupang’s customer needs. **Key Responsibilities** - Build, own, and maintain large-scale distributed systems - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX/UI designers, front-end developers, product owners) to develop scalable, resilient applications - Establish and execute short- and long-term design and architectural roadmaps - Drive continual improvement to efficiency and flexibility while maintaining high standards for customer trust, performance, and availability - Implement clean, maintainable, and efficient code using best practices for distributed application development - Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix issues/bugs - Innovate on the platform to support Rocket Growth programs - Provide technical direction to junior engineers **Skills and Qualifications** - 6+ years of experience working on fundamental algorithms, system design, and large distributed systems - 6+ years of professional coding experience using modern programming languages such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, C++, C#, etc. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work in an agile environment and meet tight deadlines **Preferred** - Experience building complex software systems delivered to customers - Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements and describe software/product/technical designs and strategy - Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team - Hands-on expertise across front-end user interfaces through back-end systems - Experience working backwards from the customer to deliver simple, innovative solutions **Pay & Benefits** - Base pay range: **$164,00/year to $282,000/year** (based on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience) - Benefits include: Medical/Dental/Vision/Life, AD&D; FSA/HSA; disability; EAP; 401K with company match; 18–21 days PTO (based on tenure); 12 public holidays; paid parental leave; pre-tax commuter benefits; free electric car charging station - Other compensation may include bonuses, equity, or other forms of compensation **Recruitment Process** Application Review → Phone Interview → Onsite (or Virtual Onsite) Interview → Offer **Details to Consider** - Postin
