Born in Lisbon in 2018, we’re now self-funded with offices in **Lisbon and San Francisco**, reaching **100M+ downloads** worldwide. ## The Role (AI/ML Engineer) As an **AI/ML Engineer**, you’ll design, develop, and optimize machine learning models that power our mobile applications. You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to build intelligent, data-driven features that improve user experiences. *Note: This posting is intended to enhance our talent pool while we prepare to launch the official job. If you’re a fit, we’ll reach out once it’s posted.* ## Responsibilities - Develop, train, and optimize machine learning models for mobile app features - Research and implement state-of-the-art AI techniques to improve engagement and performance - Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate AI-driven solutions into applications - Design and maintain scalable ML pipelines (deployment + monitoring) - Analyze large datasets to derive insights and enable data-driven decisions - Stay current with AI trends and best practices - Optimize AI models for mobile environments (high performance, low latency) ## Requirements - **3+ years** of AI/ML development experience (mobile experience preferred) - Proficiency in **Python** and **TensorFlow, PyTorch**, or other ML frameworks - Experience with **deep learning**, **NLP**, **computer vision**, and statistical modeling - Familiarity with cloud ML services (**AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure**) - Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices - Experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production - Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment - Strong problem-solving skills and passion for innovation ## Benefits - Apple hardware ecosystem for work - Annual Bonus - Medical Insurance (including vision & dental) - Disability insurance (short and long-term) - 401k up to 4% contribution - Air Conference (meet the team, collaborate, grow) - Transportation budget - Free meals at the hub - Gym membership ## Diversity & Inclusion Air Apps is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
