As a **UI Engineering Lead**, you’ll help bring the Design team’s UX vision to life by implementing responsive, stable UI systems in **Unreal Engine**. You’ll work with a fun, dedicated cross-discipline team at **teamLFG**. --- ## Responsibilities - With minimal oversight, build and maintain production-quality UI systems, workflows, and tools in **C++** on **Unreal 5** - Directly hire, manage, and lead engineers in the UI subdiscipline (support, technical mentorship, feedback, and career coaching) - Provide technical guidance in UX/UI systems to empower teammates across gameplay disciplines - Collaborate daily with a cross-disciplinary team to build new player experiences --- ## Required Skills - Ability to write, debug, and maintain code in **C++** - Ability to communicate with customers across technical and non-technical backgrounds - Experience building and maintaining UX/UI systems (e.g., HUDs, front-end menus, fonts, localization workflows) - Experience leading engineers (direct management, mentoring, or guiding) - Experience developing with **Unreal Engine** --- ## Nice-to-Have Skills - Experience developing on multiple platforms (PC, console) - Experience with real-time action multiplayer games - Experience shipping one or more game titles - Experience with codev or contractors --- ## Pay & Benefits (Summary) - Base pay range may vary by location and hybrid working policy. - Example (Seattle): **$197,400 — $296,000 USD** - Eligible for SIE’s top-tier benefits package (medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program, and Sony product discounts) - This role may also be eligible for a bonus package --- **Notes** - Background checks are conducted at the offer stage for new employees. - SIE is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Fair Chance employer.
