**Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer** **About Collective:** Collective is redefining how businesses-of-one work. We provide technology and trusted advisors to help members achieve financial independence through business incorporation, accounting, bookkeeping, tax services, and community access—all in one integrated platform. **About the Role:** Join our Infrastructure team, a small group owning the platform every engineer builds on. You'll work with AWS and GCP foundations, CI/CD, IaC, observability, secrets management, and identity. Partner with product engineering, security, and AI Platform teams to unblock shipping and keep systems safe. **What You'll Do:** • Provision and manage cloud resources on AWS/GCP using Terraform (IaC) • Embed security best practices with zero-trust architecture principles • Build scalable, reliable, cost-effective systems • Develop and test disaster recovery plans • Own CI/CD systems; set standards and mentor teams • Reduce operational toil through automation • Translate application needs into scalable infrastructure solutions • Own observability stack (monitoring, logging, alerting) • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response • Stay current with emerging cloud and DevOps technologies **What You'll Bring:** • 5+ years hands-on experience as Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, DevOps, or SRE • Proven track record operating production cloud environments at scale • Multi-cloud proficiency (AWS highly preferred; GCP a plus) • Infrastructure and security policy as code experience • Strong software development skills (Python or similar) • Excellent written and verbal communication • Mentoring experience and comfort leading cross-team initiatives • Clean, maintainable code for automation and tooling • Foundational networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPCs, firewalls) • Strong Linux and command-line skills • Comfort leveraging AI tooling for infrastructure work **Our Stack:** AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, RDS, Elasticache, Opensearch) • GCP (BigQuery) • Datadog, Sentry, Amplitude • Github, GHA • Terraform, HCP • Python/Typescript/React **What We Offer:** • Hybrid work (San Francisco-based) • Fresh lunch on in-office days • $150/month commuter support • $200 quarterly wellness reimbursement • Flexible PTO + 14 company holidays • 100% medical, dental, vision coverage; 75% for dependents • 16 weeks paid parental leave • 401k + equity package • Quarterly virtual events + annual in-person summit
