**Senior Staff iOS Engineer** **About the Role** Build native foundations supporting seller-facing software across multiple teams. Set direction for iOS architecture, performance, reliability, security, and developer experience. Start from unowned problems, prove direction through hands-on work, and create programs other teams can join. **Key Responsibilities** • Find and frame systemic iOS problems without clear ownership • Define strategy, architecture, standards, and success measures across teams • Build prototypes and reference implementations to prove direction • Lead multi-quarter migrations and foundational initiatives • Establish practices for quality, testing, observability, and maintainability • Develop senior engineers and create sustainable ownership models **How You Work** • Self-directed; actively gather context and expertise for sound decisions • Move independently within scope; seek alignment on cross-team decisions • Use AI tools to investigate and deliver at scale while maintaining accountability • Measure success through adoption and customer outcomes **Required Qualifications** • 12+ years professional software engineering experience • 8+ years in mobile engineering; 4+ years building native iOS products • Deep expertise in modern/legacy iOS frameworks, Swift, and Objective-C • Experience creating foundational systems or frameworks used across teams • Track record leading strategic, multi-quarter initiatives with broad adoption • Experience connecting platform strategy to customer-facing SaaS products • Strong systems thinking, technical communication, and mentoring skills **Technologies** Swift, Objective-C, SwiftUI, UIKit, Swift Concurrency, Combine, Xcode, Instruments, Protocol Buffers, Bazel, testing infrastructure, observability tools **Compensation** Zones A–D: $263,600–$395,400 USD (based on location and qualifications) **Benefits** Remote work, medical insurance, flexible time off, retirement plans, modern family planning, and more.
